By 2032 this large fraction of Canadians will be between 65 and 85 years old. There are lots of stats available that are rather breathtaking.
Regardless of the general health condition of this age group, this flood of seniors is going to have a huge impact on Healthcare.
Are we ready?
Long-term care homes and retirement residences should be taking time out now to prepare their facilities to accommodate this influx. Are there sufficient rooms available? Are the buildings and corridors up to code and up to date? Will the facility look warm and inviting to family and potential residents when they start to arrive.
