One of our core values here at Belroc is improvement. It’s something that can be interpreted in many different ways, but the ultimate outcome is the same – the drive to make things better for ourselves, our colleagues, our customers (and end users) and for Belroc as a business.
We are delighted to announce that the winner of our September Employee of the Month accolade is a person who really embodies the value of improvement – Erika McConnell!
Over the past number of months Erika has gone on a journey of professional improvement that has seen her undertaking further study in a bid to advance her skills and capabilities as she develops into her role as senior estimator.
As well as working towards her construction estimating certificate through OntarioLearn and Durham College, Erika is committed to self-improvement using tools like LinkedIn Learning to hone her skills in many different areas.
In this month’s nominations process, Erika was recognized for putting in extra work to help while our Client Care team has been short staffed, including extending her working hours and taking on extra tasks outside of her normal remit. She’s also sent out a huge number of quotations this past month – all while juggling a busy personal life as a wife and mom!
We should also mention that Erika has been a huge contributor to our St. Boniface fitness initiative, putting in some serious kilometers each week as she strives for physical improvement as well as professional. Her energy knows no bounds, and we are very lucky to have her on the team. Well done Erika!
